Overcoming Your Dental Fear with Conscious Sedation

Pain-Free Dental Treatment - Conscious Sedation

Many of us live with some degree of dental fear. Some of us have had traumatic experiences as children. Others have had unpleasant experiences as adults. Regardless of the reason, this kind of dental fear puts you off routine dental visits for ages even when we faced with the warning signs of pain and decay, potentially compromising the health and functionality of our mouth and smile, not to mention the decrease in quality of life.

However, it is our choice to live with uncomfortable symptoms of fear or overcome our anxieties and make the first step towards our healthy teeth and smile.

Special Care for Anxious Patient

At EP Dent, Dr Attila Szekely and his dental team will take special care to eliminate the source of your apprehension. He'll take time with you to describe new techniques that have helped many of our patient to overcome their fears.

During the major treatment, our patients just need to take a comfortable nap and wake up with years of dental treatment done in just one visit. Dr Attila Szekely is on the cutting edge of the fast changing technology in the practice of restoring beautiful smiles, saving and preparing teeth that would have been lost.

At our clinic, Patient's health and safety is our priority. Dr. Szekely works along with our experienced anaesthetist and nurse specialised in anaesthesia to ensure our patients a save and correct level of anaesthesia.

How Can Intravenous or Conscious Sedation Help Me?

It may sound too good to be true, but at EP Dent, whatever makes you uncomfortable about the dental treatment — bad experience, sounds, or smells — you won’t notice them.

Dr Attila Szekely carries out full mouth restoration under sedation with no pain and discomfort. During intravenous or conscious sedation you will remain in a deeply relaxed state and won't be bothered by anything around you. You will also be able to communicate with your dentist, and the time will appear to pass very quickly so you will not recall anything of what happened.

Do I Need Someone to Accompany Me After Sedation?

As you will still be under the effect of sedation, you will not be able to drive or walk alone and someone must accompany you from the dentist’s office to your hotel room.

If you have treatment with us alone, let us know before the treatment starts and one of our colleagues will take you back to the hotel.

Still not sure? Find out more what our patients say about the treatment.
